This new strategy could be your ticket to change management success

70% of change initiatives fail, largely due to top-down approaches that are too slow, rigid, and disconnected from the reality of people doing the frontline work.  Leaders often plan in isolation, then sell the change to employees which results in resistance, confusion, and poor execution.

This article discusses a different approach: open-source change management.

Before reading this article we always advocated for and recommended this inclusive approach, as we know from experience, that it works.

When we are working with clients, we clarify with them what they are moving from (current state) and what they are moving to (future state) and we can apply that thinking here for moving from traditional change management to open-source.

A change management transformation…

  • From telling to talking . Building two-way communication channels where questions and emotions are addressed.

  • From top down to co-created. Involving employees early, not just in execution, but in shaping the strategy.

  • From central command to empowerment. Letting employees define how change happens, within strategic guardrails.

And it works, the results speak for themselves with faster implementation, greater engagement, and higher success rates. Read on to learn more, we’d be interested to hear your thoughts.
