Co-Creating Purpose, Values and Culture across a Growing Business

Updated: Jun 17

How we helped a multiple care home business define their purpose and identify values that truly reflect their everyday acts of care and teamwork.

The Challenge

Strengthen the existing culture by bringing people together with greater intention; create a space where frontline teams feel heard, valued and connected.

The Project

Two care homes under the same leadership, large enough to offer a full range of services yet small enough to maintain a strong sense of community and personal connection between residents and team members. After several years of steady growth and expansion, the leadership team recognised the importance of investing in their team beyond skills and wanted to enrich well-being, belonging and culture.

What We Delivered As Change Partners

We placed the team at the centre and co-created a new purpose statement and set of core values which reflected the everyday acts of care, teamwork, and compassion that defined their culture. We used appreciative inquiry – a positive and energising inclusive approach to generate ideas and engage the team. We surfaced real stories of proud moments and best practices and explored aspirations for the future of care and teamwork.

Client Feedback

“Laura and Dymphna were fantastic. They sought to fully understand the brief, offer guidance around the best way to achieve our goals and delivered fantastic workshops. They had brilliant communication throughout and what set them apart is that they took time to understand the intricacies of the nursing home sector and to understand the dynamics of the care team. Would highly recommend working with them.”
